Hawk workshop planned

The Arboretum at the University of Guelph is planning a Hawk Workshop which will help participants develop skills in identifying migrating hawks, falcons, vultures, eagles and osprey.

The one-day workshop is on Sept. 6 from 9am to 4pm.

Through hands-on activities participants will learn about plumage, body shape, foraging techniques, flight patterns and migration times of 15 species.  An information booklet will be provided. The Arboretum’s naturalist, Chris Earley will lead the workshop.
