A flag raising ceremony will occur on Aug. 19, at Guelph City Hall to mark Crime Stoppers’ 25th anniversary of community service.
The organization welcomes the public to attend the event starting at 10am.
Throughout the past 25 years the local agency has worked with the media, police and municipalities to promote community safety and awareness. The program has continued to expand throughout the years and provide an option for citizens to report criminal actions in a safe and completely confidential manner. Program statistics emphasize the positive impact of the program within Wellington County.
Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has provided support to the residents of Guelph Wellington since incorporation on Aug. 3, 1988. The agency is a proud member of the Ontario and Canadian Crime Stoppers program which in turn is a member of Crime Stoppers International.
