Mismatched terms of office have meant that Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj needed to be reappointed to the Grand River Conservation Authority Board on July 15.
Ross-Zuj said that for some reason the GRCA did not switch three-year terms to four-year terms when many municipalities did.
“As a result, everyone serving on the GRCA board is short a year.”
She described the move as a housekeeping item.
Council approved the reappointment.
