East Wellington Community Services has positions available on their volunteer board of directors beginning in September 2013.
Becoming a board member is a rewarding and challenging opportunity. It is a way to contribute to the community. It gives people an opportunity to have a say in the direction and services EWCS provides, the organization states.
It also provides learning and personal development by working with other professionals and dedicated people, states EWCS ina press release. The board is made up of people with diverse skills sets.
EWCS looks for people with professional skills in fundraising, finance, human resources, social services, business administration, leadership, strategic planning skills, volunteer management, marketing and people who have a passion for making their community a better place.
The success of the board is not only dependent on the skills that the individuals bring, but also on the enthusiasm and dedication to community.

EWCS is a community based charitable organization whose mission is to strengthen the community through support services and advocacy.
