Aberfoyle farmers”™ market hosting Kids Day on June 22

Both new and favourite activities for youth will be the focus of this weekend’s Kids Day at the Aberfoyle Farmers’ Market here.

On June 22, vendors and volunteers host the market’s  third annual children’s event.

In addition to the usual vendors, the day includes a number of free events and activities.

The day will again include an interactive scavenger hunt and face painting.  The Guelph Storm Mascot will cheer on anyone wanting to try out their goal scoring skills.

In addition, Speed River Bicycle will be there giving safety checks and minor adjustments on everyone’s bike, as well as handing out discount coupons.

In keeping with the tradition of supporting the broader community, the day also showcases Whistle Stop Preschool and Harmony Kids Daycare, with information about their activities and crafts for the kids.

The Puslinch Fire Department Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad will feed the flames of fun with their big red fire truck and their inflatable smokehouse. This unique inflatable house provides fun and learning in one giant package.

Market Manager, Matthew Bulmer says: “as a community run market we believe it is important to give back to our community and our kids are a great place to start”.

The market is open each Saturday from 8am to 1pm until the end of October.
