On May 2, Centre Wellington District High School’s Amnesty International Club presents “The Hunger Game.” The community event, which takes place at the Elora United Church, aims to raise awareness about hunger, both locally and globally.
In the role-play style event, participants are given a character upon arrival – and that character determines the night’s experience. It’s entirely random, so participants may end up on the floor or end up with a fine dining experience.
Tickets are $7 and $20 for a family. The doors open at 5:30pm. Additional tickets may be available at the door, but can be reserved in advance at 519-843-2500 ext. 558 by leaving a message.
Officials say it will be an interesting experience for families. Food bank donations appreciated.
