Wellington North’s Economic Development Committee, in partnership with TD Canada Trust, Saugeen Economic Development Corporation and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and with the support of both the Arthur and Mount Forest Chambers of Commerce, are hosting the fourth annual Wellington North Showcase 2013. The showcase is taking place on March 25 and 26, at the Mount Forest District Sports Complex.
The showcase will incorporate a trade show, open to the public, and networking opportunities for all attendees.
The event will also include The Butter Tart Trail Café, a fundraiser for the Mount Forest Junior C Patriots, where organizers will launch Wellington North’s Simply Explore… Featuring The Butter Tart Trail 2013 brochure. The official dessert recipe book of The Butter Tart Trail will also be available for purchase.
On March 25 local business and community leaders are encouraged to attend an evening business networking reception and take advantage of networking opportunities. The trade show opens to the public on March 26 from 1pm to 8pm and will feature displays and products from local businesses and organizations. Admission is free. Community Pantry donations will be accepted.
“Wellington North Showcase highlights the region by providing local businesses and industries the opportunity to showcase their products and services. Showcase continues to grow each year, and with new promotional elements being initiated for 2013 to further grow attendance, we anticipate it being our best year yet,” said April Marshall township tourism, marketing and promotion manager.
“We need to boast about the products and services we have in Wellington North and Showcase 2013 is an excellent opportunity for businesses and residents in the area to connect, build relationships and strengthen local partnerships. TD Canada Trust, OMAFRA and the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation have been tremendous partners for this event and we are pleased to have them back for the fourth year in a row,” added Dale Small, township business economic manager.
