It’s time to get the ball rolling on the annual fundraiser Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington Bowl for Kids Sake (BFKS), with three events open to the community, all in celebration of the organization’s 100th anniversary of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS). The event begins with two virtual bowling events where the game is accessible to all, using the Nintendo’s Wii Bowling game.
On Feb. 21, St. Joseph’s Church will host a Wii Bowling from noon to 9pm.
On Feb. 22, the Victoria Seniors Centre will also offer the virtual game, from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
On Feb. 24, from 9am to 6pm, Woodlawn Bowl will be the location of the main event, with 10-pin bowling.
Participants are asked to raise funds through an online, secure pledge format (www.cw.kintera.org/bfks), with all proceeds going to support programming and mentorship through the Centre Wellington chapter of BBBS. Tax receipts will be provided instantly.
Teams are vying for three grand prizes, including a Niagara Wine Tour for six that includes lunch and transportation by Red Car Service, two VIA Rail tickets from Guelph to Ottawa and a sightseeing flight trip for two from TSA Aviation.
