A total of $726 was raised through the chili fest events, held Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 in Rockwood and Erin. Both days were perfect weather conditions for chili – so perfect that the chili sold out both days. As the votes were counted, honours for “best of the fest” chili went to Ann Bartlett (Rockwood) and Derrick Westcott (Erin). Organizers thanked all who participated – the money raised will help the United Way reach their fundraising goal of $3.2 million and assist them to continue funding the many programs and services in the Guelph Wellington Dufferin area.
