Part lot control exemption allows townhouse block to move forward

A part lot control exemption bylaw will help allow the division and sale of a freehold townhouse block on Marr Drive to move forward.

The bylaw affects Block 118, Plan 61M-155 of the Elora Meadows Subdivision.

Planning director Brett Salmon said requests of this type are becoming routine.

This part lot control exemption bylaw is with regard to a block of four townhouse units on Marr Drive in the Elora Meadows subdivision.

Block 118 is a freehold street townhouse block consisting of four units. A part lot control exemption by-law is required to divide these lots and blocking into individual units for sale. The townhouse block is subject to a site plan agreement.

The division of the lots and blocks complies with the applicable zoning, and with the site plan agreement pertaining to Block 119.

Council had no additional questions before the bylaw was endorsed on Aug. 13.

Centre Wellington’s bylaw will now be submitted to the County of Wellington for final approval.
