With a new hospital being planned and projects in the northern part of Wellington County, Groves Memorial Community Hospital has hired a project manager.
Dan Brzak has a five year contract to oversee the development of the hospital being built at Wellington Place in Aboyne.
Brzak holds a bachelor degree in architecture and has worked with architectural firms and contractors on projects such as clinics and long term care facilities.
The aim is for Brzak to complete the work and see the new hospital build. That includes guiding design, programming, planning, construction and staff and community involvement.
The provincial government approved the new 60 bed hospital in August, with construction scheduled to being in 2014.
Chief executive officer and president Jerome Quenneville said of the appointment “The staff are certainly pleased to see this moving forward.”
