In light of Wellington North’s consideration to scale back its development charges, a look at charges across Wellington County was considered appropriate.
Even with lower proposed charges, Wellington North would still not be at the bottom of the list where development charges are concerned – that would be Minto for residential charges, and Guelph-Eramosa for non-residential charges (in rural areas].
Centre Wellington would be tops for implementing charges for residential development in rural and urban areas.
And while it topped the list for charges of non-residential development in rural areas, it seems Guelph-Eramosa’s fees for development within Rockwood are even higher.
