It’s the time of year again when the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce looks for Awards of Excellence nominations. This year’s theme is ‘Centre Wellington…It’s a Grand Cabaret!’
Nominations are now being accepted, but the deadline is March 4, at 4pm.
Now is the time to submit a nomination for a person or group who has contributed to making Centre Wellington a better place to live, work, or play.
“After the event many people have said to me: why didn’t so and so win? And then I ask them: “Did you nominate them?” says Chamber president Michael Weinstein.
Don’t let this happen to an individual, business or organization that you think should earn recognition for their excellence in any of the award categories.
The big event is at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex on Thursday, April 28 as residents, organizations and businesses are honoured for their achievements in the following areas: Citizen and Youth Citizen of the Year, Agriculture/Agri Business, Business Heritage, Business of the Year, Large and Small, Community Award of Merit, Corporate Citizen of the Year, Cultural/Arts Award of Merit, Customer Service Excellence Award, Environmental Excellence Award, Sport Achievement Award, Tourism Impact Award and Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Awards also recognize businesses celebrating 25 and 40 year milestones.
To submit an application before March 4, visit www.cwchamber.ca for rules and regulations and forms to complete.
Nomination forms are also at the Chamber of Commerce office, at 400 Tower St. S. Fergus.
The event has sold out for the past several years and citizens are encouraged to purchase tickets quickly before they sell out. For further information, call the chamber office at 519-843-5140.
