Celebrating 25 Years

ETSM – Ken Lennox and Hugh Broadfoot first started Elora Technical Services in 1985 in a 1,000 square foot shop offering machining and welding services. In 1991, Elora Technical Manufacturing was incorporated in Guelph, offering laser cutting services and manufacturing sheet metal components. In 1995, both operations were moved under one roof in Elora to a 12,000 square foot facility, at the rear of the former Antique Warehouse building on the Elora Road. In 2002, an opportunity arose to acquire a powder coating line and it was a good fit to complement operations at ETSM.

As the business continued to grow a move to the current location in Guelph was necessary, and conveniently across from the company paint facility (Aegis).

President, Ken Lennox has a commitment and dedication to the company that has brought the staff to approximately 45 full time people at both ETSM and the Aegis facility. Many of the long term employees have been retained from the original Elora location.

As proud supporters of the co-operative education program with the Centre Wellington District High School, both the machining supervisor and welding supervisor have been with the company since their inception in the co-op program in high school, and have been employees for 17 and 18 years respectively. ETSM can be reached at 519-827-1500.
