The board of directors of the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN) announced the departure of Sandra Hanmer as chief executive officer effective Sept 27.
“The board of directors thanks Sandra for her contributions to the WWLHIN since its inception in 2005. Of particular note is [her] role in the development of provincial policies, practices, and partner agreements instrumental, to date, in shaping the LHIN model. On behalf of the board of directors of the WWLHIN, I extend best wishes to Sandra as she pursues new opportunities,” said WWLHIN chairman Kathy Durst.
The WWLHIN planned to start the process immediately to identify a new CEO. Until that search is completed, Bruce Lauckner, senior director of the WWLHIN, will assume the responsibilities of interim CEO.
