It was one better than “The cheque’s in the mail.”
Keith Lloyd and John Jeffery, representing Mount Forest Sports groups, recently came to council to present a $19,000 cheque to assist with the cost to extend the Cork Street pavilion.
Lloyd explained that the donation is the result of fundraising efforts through the Mount Forest Sports Groups. The funds had been put into reserves for any group needing a new building.
Arrangements will be made for a sign acknowledging the Mount Forest Sports Groups.
