The Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Division has announced the appointment of Martin Kabat as Chief Executive Officer.
He will visit the Wellington County Unit on Aug. 9 at 9:15am to meet with staff and volunteers, and the local branch is inviting the public to attend.
Kabat brings financial and academic experience gained internationally in the profit and not-for-profit sectors.
He served as president and chief executive officer of the Canadian MedicAlert Foundation from 2004 to 2007 and most recently held the same positions with MedicAlert Foundation International.
The Canadian Cancer Society is a national community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.
