Photographer Sylvia Galbraith will present a workshop at The Arboretum, on June 25 from 7 to 10:00pm.
The course is timed to take advantage of the (almost) full moon – the first hour will be spent inside for a lesson on shooting in low light. Using timed exposures and night settings, composition, equipment, shooting city lights, and more will be covered. Then it is out to the meadows of The Arboretum to photograph the setting sun, and night photography. Participants will also get to try fun flash effects.
The course requires a tripod for best results, and is suitable for all skill levels. Bring a flashlight, and dress for the weather. In case of inclement weather, the course will be held the following night, June 26.
The registration fee is $55. For more information or to register by the deadline of June 11, call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.
