Pike Lake will be getting an influx of Albertans this summer, as work begins on the Bruce Milton power line project.
At a recent economic development meeting, Business and Economic Manager Belinda Wick-Graham said the dozen workers will be staying at Pike Lake for the next two years or more.
She added that since the crew will be working six days a week, it will be staying in the community for most of the time. Wick-Graham said there is the potential of even more workers coming to the area.
As a result, the Mount Forest and Minto Chambers of Commerce are working together to create welcome packages.
