Many of the 75,000 Canadians who are living with multiple sclerosis (MS) are women – and some are mothers. That is why the annual Carnation Campaign is held each year on Mother’s Day weekend. Through the sale of carnations, the Wellington County MS Chapter raises funds for local programs and services, as well as research.
The annual carnation campaign in support of the Wellington County Multiple Sclerosis Society Chapter will offer assorted bouquets and pots of carnations for sale.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to purchase carnations – just in time for Mother’s Day.
The sale will be held on the Mother’s Day weekend May 7 and 8 at Stone Road Mall, LCBO outlets, various Beer Stores, and Shopper’s Drug Marts in Guelph and Wellington County.
The county MS Chapter relies on community support of its fundraising campaigns in order to help close to 200 individuals and their families in the area, who are living with MS. The mission of the MS Society is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
