Wellington North council recently gave its blessing to the ninth annual Trillium races here on May 8.
Race director Manuel Ferreira wrote to council asking permission to host the races from 9:15 to 11:45am.
The route for the 5km and 10km runs are the same as in 2009, the first year the event started from the Mount Forest Sportsplex on Cork St.
Council had no issue providing its approval of the race.
