The OMHA Bantam semi-finals pitted the Drayton Defenders against Grand Valley.
In game one Drayton came out flying and took the game 4-1. Grand Valley, not to be out done, came back in game two and humbled the Drayton team, beating them 6-2.
With game three in Drayton the Defenders were hoping home ice would be an advantage. Grand Valley scored three quick goals, but Drayton battled back from the 3-0 deficit to win the game 5-4. Up two games to one, Drayton was wanting to end the series, but in another great game, Grand Valley won 3-2 in overtime.
Then, on March 7, the Drayton team defeated Grand Valley in yet another nail biting game 5-4 to win the series three games to two.
The Drayton Bantams now face Desoronto for the All-Ontario Championship.
