Home, Lifestyle show set for May 1

The town here is once again gearing up for its annual Home and Lifestyle Show,  which offers area residents an array of new ideas for spring from local exhibitors.

Considering its focus on small- to medium-sized and home-based ventures, as well as its “buy local” theme, officials say the show is a great way to gain wider exposure in the community.

“We offer multiple ways for promotion that other area shows don’t offer, all included in the registration,” organizer Erika Westcott said.

The show advertises extensively in local media and expands its reach every year. Businesses registering before March 31 are included in radio advertising, promotional material, and Newspaper articles.

“New this year we teamed up with Bolton Radio and our local area radio station in Erin to provide a full month of radio advertising free to our exhibitors,” Westcott said.

“If you have a product or service to offer, you can’t afford not to be there.”

There are still booths available, starting at $85, although space fills up quickly and the show is always a sellout. According to organizers, many vendors return year after year, very pleased with the results.

“It gives people an opportunity to see who’s doing things in the community,” said Wayne Van Sickle, of Geo Solar Systems, which sells ground source heating and cooling and will be at the home show for its third time.

“People prefer to deal locally if they can, as long as they are getting good value for their money and expert advice.”

From the exotic to the everyday, from established Main Street stores to small, home-based endeavours run from the kitchen table, all are welcome at the Erin Home and Lifestyle Show.

The show runs May 1 from 10am to 4pm at the Centre 2000 arena, at 14 Boland Drive, just off Main Street. Parking is free and admission is $2 for adults, free for children. For more information go to www.erin.ca, email ewintersinger@hotmail.com or phone 519-855-6683.
