There will be plenty of activities to keep families entertained at Guelph Civic Museum during March Break from March 13 to 21.
For March Break week only, the museum will be extending its hours Monday to Friday with an earlier opening time of 10am and closing at 5pm (Saturdays and Sundays will remain 1 to 5 pm).
The theme this year is Ancient China, featuring arts of China, a travelling exhibit from the Royal Ontario Museum. Staff and volunteers in partnership with the Guelph Chinese Canadian Culture Association, have developed am interactive space to complement the exhibit where visitors can Learn About China.
There will be daily themes, special guests and demonstrations for the week. March 13 features a demonstration of Taiji. On Monday, Toys and Games will be explored.
On Tuesday, visitors can learn about Chinese arts with painting and sculpture demonstrations by artist Alice Wu.
Music will be highlighted on Wednesday with an Urhu demonstration by Steve Cui. Thursday is the Art of Writing with special guest Hailong Huang, and Friday visitors will have the opportunity to discover paper making.

Guelph Civic Museum is located at 6 Dublin Street South. Regular admission is $4 for adults, and $3 for seniors, students, and children, with families $10.00. Joint admission to McCrae House is available.
