Groves Memorial Community Hospital is restricting visitors to the hospital’s medical floor.
The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit imposed a visitor restriction to stop a gastrointestinal outbreak that affected patients on the second floor. Exceptions will be made to palliative patient visitors.
Those who are ill (vomiting and or diarrhea) or have been in contact with an ill person in the past 48 hours, are asked to stay away from the hospital. All others should use hand sanitizer before and after visiting.
