The Rockwood Farmers Christmas Parade marked its 14th year in 2009. The first year, a group of local farmers decided to dress up their farm equipment for the Christmas season and ride through the village streets. The response to the spontaneous and informal parade was overwhelming and so the tradition was born. This year the parade featured about twenty area farms joining in the spirit of the season. Over two hundred farmers, their families, employees and friends participated. The parade has reached beyond Rockwood as some of those who attend travel from outside of Wellington County. According to the parade website special visitors have come from as far as Australia and British Columbia.
