The Arthur Historical Society has announced the completion of Volume II “Memories of Arthur & Area – Searching the Past to Understand the Present" by John Walsh, just in time for seasonal gift giving.
Books are $15 each, with all proceeds being donated to the Arthur and Area Historical Society. The historic walk down Arthur’s memory lane is the sequel to Walsh’s first volume.
“Many of the articles in this book are from my own recollections of growing up in the village” said Walsh in the preface, adding, “It is my hope that some of the articles will bring back memories of the area that are as pleasant as mine.
Walsh has compiled the 45 articles in the book over the past few years with his daughter, Valerie, assisting with the computer book.
The book is available at the following locations: Print One – Mount Forest, the Village Variety, county library and Walsh’s Pharmacy in Arthur, as well as Arthur Travel in Fergus, or by contacting the Arthur Historical Society directly.
