Councillors here will likely be getting a financial update from the Early Learning Centre in the new year.
As council reviewed the centre’s recent draft minutes, councillor Wayne Martin asked that at some point council obtain an overview of the financial situation.
Mayor David Anderson checked with Treasurer Gord Doff to see if the municipality normally receives a financial statement every six months.
Doff said it does not, but generally it does get one on a regular basis.
Councillor Barb Burrows explained the centre is currently working on its financial statements in order to continue working with Wellington County.
Doff said he saw that email as well, and things look fairly positive. “As far as we’re concerned they are up to date.”
