Alexandra Grieg is hoping a large number of people will attend her debut art show at the Goose and Gridiron Pub on St. Andrew Street on Nov. 13.
Grieg is 13, and her first art was done at Art in the Park in Elora and that sparked her interest.
Grieg has faced numerous challenges in her young life, including seven surgeries and many visits to doctors. She was expected to live less than a year. She is one of about 250 children in the world with specific chromosome disorder. There is only one specialist for all those children and it is costly for them to meet once a year.
The show will run from 6 to 8pm and all profits from the show will be used for her future work and for the chromosome 9p Network. There will be prints available at the show.
