With nicer weather apparently on the way, construction activity here is picking up.
Deputy-chief building inspector David Kopp told council on March 8, “We’re off to a good start for the year.
There were 14 permits issued for February, Kopp reported, including one demolition permit.
February permits were estimated to be worth $2.45-million, and brought the year to date total estimated construction to $3.01-million.
Kopp’s report showed permits for the first two months of the year are within two of last year, and worth within $50,000 of last year’s estimated construction value.
