Members of Ad Vox Wellington will present Dr. Simon Davidsons on May 19.
For three years Ad Vox Wellington has been “adding voices together for mental health for children and youth.”
Dr. Davidson is a practicing child psychiatrist, and is a leader in the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at CHEO (Ottawa). He will add his voice and bring the perspective of the national agenda for children’s mental health from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
Seventy people will be sitting down in a lunch conversation with Davidson about mental health for kids in Canada and the Ad Vox Wellington project. Lunch guests represent those who have been affected by Ad Vox Wellington or those involved with the project since its inception.
Davidson is coming to Guelph and Wellington County to see and experience a community that has been mobilized around the many issues that complicate and challenge mental health care for kids.
After the lunch, there is further opportunity to speak with him at An Evening With Simon Davidson.
It runs from 6:30 to 9pm at Victoria Park East Golf Club
The evening event provides an opportunity for everyone in Wellington County to become involved. Many of the Ad Vox Wellington supporters will be there to greet the public.
Davidson will do a presentation from his experiences with the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
An Ad Vox Wellington presentation will follow.
Everyone is invited to come and find out how they can become involved in the future of mental health for children and youth in Canada.
