The Good Brothers will be headlining a daylong fundraising event in Rockwood on May 9, with their brand of country, bluegrass, folk and good ol’ rock and roll.
The eight-time Juno award-winners, inducted into the Canadian Country Hall of Fame in 2004, have been entertaining audiences for over 30 years. This will be their second annual visit to Rockmosa Community Centre in support of local walkers raising funds to participate in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer’s two-day, 60-km walk.
New this year is the Community Market from 8AM to 1PM, which will see the hall filled with tables packed with new and used items for sale. Vendors range from businesses to private individuals, and there is still time to reserve a table for $10. To book, call Maggie Holden at 519-940-9608.
All proceeds from table rentals go to The Weekend to End Breast Cancer. Tickets to The Good Brothers show include a buffet-style dinner, and are available by calling Doris Ens at 519-856-9419, or Colleen Ens at 519-843-1222. Prices are $30 for an individual and $25 for a senior), $55 a couple, $45 for a senior couple, and $12 for kids aged 5 to 12.
The evening starts at 6pm and will include door prizes, gift baskets and a 50:50 draw.
