The Ontario Steam Heritage Museum in Puslinch is putting on an open house for model railroad enthusiasts on April 30 from noon until 4pm.
The Museum, which is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of steam traction engines and contains some of the best restored and operating engines in North America, is hosting the event at the request of the Royal City Model Railroaders Association.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free, although donations to the not-for-profit private museum will be accepted.
In addition to over eight working traction engines, the collection at the museum, which is owned by Wayne Fischer, also includes five very large stationary engines and 15 smaller ones, two locomotives, one boat, road rollers, a rock crusher and various other working machinery, including shingle makers.
