FERGUS – A local branch of an organization that advocates for education workers and retirees is donating funds to help local food security organizations.
Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTOERO) District 31 Wellington recently donated $1,300 to eight community organizations that it says “help to support the diverse needs of our growing communities.”
They include Hope House and the Salvation Army in Guelph, Centre Wellington Food Bank, East Wellington Community Services, Arthur Food Bank, Mount Forest Food Bank, Drayton Community Food Bank, and Palmerston Food Bank.
RTOERO aims to create a healthy, active future for every member of the education retiree community in Canada, officials state.
