Mayor David Anderson brought up at council a recent former CN land rehabilitation meeting at the Palmerston train station.
He said there was representation from the Minto’s Community in Bloom committee, members of the tree committee, and streetscape designer Sean Kelly.
Anderson said there is a proposed plan for the entrance to the Lions Heritage Park in Palmerston, and ideas were exchanged to see how to draw people’s attention to the park there.
A review was done of the streetscape plan by the designer, the plan created by Communities in Bloom and the Lions plan for the park.
“We sort of merged all three ideas together,” Anderson said.
Those involved are slated to come to council Jan. 21 to present what is happening and where they are heading.
Part of it will included discussion of the path extension.
He added that one of the reasons for the presentation is council has not had the opportunity to see the plan.
There will also be a few recommendations coming, he added.
Councillor Wayne Martin said there may also be recommendations about the manner of representation on the committee.
