Wellington County Museum places 500 lawn markers for fallen soldiers

ABOYNE – For many years the Wellington County Museum has adorned its front lawn with over 500 markers for those who have fallen during wars for Remembrance Day. It was a dreary night and one could imagine the hardships veterans had to put up with during their time in the service of their country. Most of the guests collected a candle given free by the museum to be placed at the base of a loved one’s memory stake. People from all walks of life in Centre Wellington attended the short ceremony on Nov. 10.
