Town unveils ‘Minto’s Magical Holiday Towns’ experience for holiday season

MINTO –  The town of Minto is announcing the debut of “Minto’s Magical Holiday Towns,” a festive experience inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the holiday season.

This project will connect holiday events; a new holiday light trail in Palmerston; shopping opportunities and promotions; unique photo-ops across Harriston, Clifford and Palmerston; and contests totaling over $1,800 in prizes.

From Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, visitors can enjoy Minto’s downtown areas transformed into enchanting winter wonderlands.

“This season is about connecting our communities and welcoming visitors to share in the magic of Minto’s towns,” said marketing and community development coordinator Erin Raftis.

“Ask any resident or volunteer in Minto and they will tell you the holidays are a busy time in our community.

“We hope that by promoting ‘Minto’s Magical Holiday Towns’ we will be able to connect our existing events and activities and bring even more people to visit, shop, explore, and celebrate Harriston, Palmerston, and Clifford this holiday season.”

Signature events included the annual Candy Canes and Cocktails event on Nov. 13, as well as Light up the Park on Nov. 15, Kris Kringle Market on Nov. 21, Hometown Christmas on Nov. 23 and Christmas in the Street on Nov. 30.

Participants can learn more about local contests, including various business passport contest (featuring special sales for this campaign only) and shop and win contests, as well as a photo contest.

Everyone is also encouraged to check out various community events and activities, such as silent auctions, theatrical performances, craft nights and more.
