Beloved husband of Catherine (Tone) French for Seventy-two years. Dear Father of Wayne (Ruth) French, Cathy (Alan) Snelling, Debbie (Colin) Train, and the late Blake French (2015). Loving Grampa of Amy Coull (Rob), Robin Wallis (Chris), the late Nathan French (2013), Carrie Murphy (Joe), Crystal Borg (Jon), Wesley French (Jazmin), Jamie Train (Tyler), and Aaron French (Cortney). Proud Great Grampa of Danny and Avery Wallis, Cali and Peyton Coull, Kellan French, Carter and Hudson Borg, Grafton and Brody Murphy, and Cedar French. Brother of Delmar French (Marguerite) and the late Rhoda McCluskey (1958). Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-laws Edwin and Olive Tone, Frank and Annie Tone, Helen and Ed Hopkins, Basil and Helen Tone, Eileen and Nick Schmidt, Cyril Tone, and Bill McCluskey Sr. He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Reg was born in Guelph and raised in Ballinafad where he lived most of his life. He was a well-known member of the community and church there. He operated French’s Plumbing and Electric until his retirement. He and Catherine moved to Chartwell on Gordon in Guelph in 2016. Throughout his life he loved family times such as, his annual fishing trips with his brother, son, and nephew, a good game of horseshoes, and dancing with Catherine at the Ballinafad Hall (those two were lovely to watch).

Memorial Visitation was held at Mackinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. A private family service was held, with interment of cremated remains at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
