Free workshop on International Stress Awareness Day

GUELPH – The Stress Management and High Performance Clinic at the University of Guelph will be marking International Stress Awareness Day on Nov. 6 with a special, free workshop for the public.

The topic is midnight myths and optimizing sleep. It runs from 7 to 9pm online.  A good sleep makes us more resistant to stress, say officials.

For more than 25 years the Stress Management and High Performance Clinic has provided the Better Sleep Program. Within that program more people have been asking “is the best sleep before midnight?” and “does it really matter what time I go to bed?”

In this special workshop, Kathy Somers explores myths and facts about sleep, timing of sleep, the thieves that rob us of the most energizing sleep, and tips for optimizing sleep.  The workshop also includes a question period.
