CENTRE WELLINGTON – The township is excited to launch the Economic Development & Tourism Strategy, setting a 20-year vision for the community.
By embarking on this process, the township seeks to define new directions, ideas, and approaches to enhance economic growth, attract investment, develop Centre Wellington as a four-season visitor destination, and ensure that the opportunity continues to be a significant part of local quality of life, officials state.
There will be a variety of consultation and engagement opportunities to gather input from the community and beyond.
One such opportunity is a comprehensive survey designed for residents, business owners, and visitors, now live at www.connectcw.ca.
Everyone is encourageed to participate and share their valuable insights.
“As competition for investment and visitation intensifies, Centre Wellington is keen to establish a trajectory that continues to set us apart from other communities in Ontario, as a leader of innovative economic development and tourism practices, and as a memorable location to live, work, visit, and do business,” says Mayor Shawn Watters is a press release.
“The vision and strategy that results from these efforts is set to guide our economic development and tourism efforts over the next 20 years, and ensure the community has the right foundations in place to support excellence in both sectors.”
In addition to the survey, residents can take part in a Community Visioning pop-up at the Key Township Open House on Oct. 22, from 6 to 8pm. at the CW Community Sportsplex.
