Centre Wellington – Mavis Productions from Toronto presented The Little Mermaid the Musical to a nearly sold out audience for all five performances at the Fergus Grand Theatre Oct. 5 and 6.
The story of the mermaid – who gave up her voice for legs to the witch of the sea so she could become a human on dry land and marry her prince – came to light with bright colours and stage props.
The star of the show was a lobster who was given custody of the mermaid by her underwater father king but didn’t do a very good job of it.
However, everything turned out for the best in the end. Children watching the show threw some lines back at the actors on the stage for some comedic experiences.
