Councillors here are ready to cough up some cash to develop a sustainable community plan as they recently approved a $7,750 for the initiative.
Treasurer Gord Duff explained this is a project council discussed earlier in the summer.
The town has applied for 90% grants but the municipality must still come up with 10% of the funds.
Part of what it looks at is a community improvement plan.
Duff said a number of other sources of funding, such as that provided by the federal gas tax, is looking for sustainability plans as a requirement for further funding.
This is our 10%, Duff said.
