CENTRE WELLINGTON – Traffic headaches are on the horizon for Centre Wellington, as the county gets set to start work on Wellington Road 18. Cox Construction Limited is set to begin road work on Oct. 14, with “early works” to start this year, officials stated. The contractor will then pick the work back up in spring of 2025 and continue until the project is done. The road work will include resurfacing, roundabout construction at 2nd Line and Wellington Road 26, and intersection improvements, including traffic lights and turning lanes at Wellington Road 29. The road will remain open, with one lane of traffic available at all times. Delays should be expected, and use of an alternate route is recommended.
