BELLAMY, Bob

October 25, 1931 - September 24, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Bob Bellamy, who left us peacefully on September 24, 2024, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Bob is now reunited after 25 years apart, with his beloved wife, Anna. Born on October 25, 1931 in Fergus, the tenth child of 12, born to Herbert and Beatrice. Bob moved to Guelph in his childhood. He met and married Anna, and together they created a loving home for their family. Bob was a devoted father to Randy (Karen), Rick (Gail), and Robin (Wanda), and a cherished grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Catherine (1951), his cherished daughter Laurie (2012) and her husband Rick (2009), and grandson Jonathan (2021). Bob’s greatest joy came from his family! He was an amazing dad whose love knew no bounds. He had a passion for hunting, trapping, being busy in the woodyard, and he especially loved working with his sawmill and threshing machine. His practical, hardworking nature was matched only by his unique sense of humour. Bob’s quick wit and sarcasm brought laughter to all who knew him. Until the very end, he was determined to regain his health and return to the work he loved so much. He took great pride in the fact that he worked for the same company (Armel Corporation) for 77 years! In his younger years, Bob enjoyed dancing, playing euchre, and spending time in the yard, always with Anna by his side. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends, whose lives he touched in so many different ways! He was one in a million! We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to GW Homecare, and “his” girls, for their amazing support over the years. Bob was always grateful to the many friends who came by regularly to share a story and a laugh with him! Services entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home (Hart Chapel), services have taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington, The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Rest well dad… your work here is done.
