Peacefully left us for his next adventure on September 11, 2024 after a brief illness and his usual good fight. He was surrounded by his loving family. We are deeply grateful to the entire team at Wellington Terrace who nursed him back to health and treated him like a king. Thanks also to the staff at Grove’s hospital for the care he received in his final days. And to John Stickney whom we now consider to be a member of our family. You folks all deserve more than my words could ever express. His recovery under your care is a message to those who will listen that being elderly is not a diagnosis and sedation is not a cure. John leaves behind his wife Dianne; his son John with wife Melissa and grandchildren Victoria and Faith; and his daughter Lisa with her husband John and grandchildren Katie and Aidan. John has joined his many family members and friends in heaven. As per his wishes, John has been cremated and returned home. A celebration of life for John is planned for October 12 at 11am. Details are available through the Kopriva Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Wellington Terrace. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their support during these difficult times. Your thoughtfulness is a nice legacy for John.
