Family was very important to her. She enjoyed hosting and attending all family gatherings especially Easter. We all have special memories of our Easter egg hunts. She was the centre of our families and she held everyone close. Millie was always very active in her church community. It was a large part of her life. She was the organist for Stone United Church in Eramosa then Ballinafad United Church then Speedside United Church in Fergus. She retired from playing the organ earlier this year She was a caring friend and neighbour. Always helping people whether it was a meal, a pie, to lend an ear or a shoulder to lean on. She was always there. Millie was a very strong woman in many ways. She showed great strength when she helped her daughter Brenda through her battle with cancer and Murt through his last few years so he was able to remain at home. The last few years of her own life showed her strength. She was tiny but mighty. Millie will be missed by everyone that knew her but she leaves us all with wonderful memories to cherish forever.
