Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Monday, July 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Arthur Township on April 19, 1933 to T. Edwin and Edith White (née Gibson), Annie was predeceased by her devoted husband Kenneth in 1987, her cherished daughter Kathy Harrison in 2000, and her parents. Annie was a devoted mother to Betty (the late Reg Clements), Muriel (Chris Brown), Dean (Heather née Abs), Trudy (Matt Flansbury), and Ken (the late Kelly). She was a loving grandmother to 16, a great-grandmother to 20, and a great-great-grandmother to 6. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Howard and Jimmy and son-in-law Paul Harrison. Annie’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her many contributions to her community. She had a deep love for the cottage and enjoyed winters in Florida. Known for her exceptional homemaking skills, she made sure dinner was always at 5:00, and her care extended to all her loved ones with a “No-Favorites” approach. Her home was a testament to her love and dedication. Among her many accomplishments, Annie was a passionate volunteer for the Elora Poppy Project, where she, alongside others, crocheted thousands of poppies. This project was a point of pride for her, and it served as a beautiful tribute to those she cherished. Annie’s kindness and generosity touched many lives, and she will be remembered fondly by her extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Wellington, McMaster Children’s Hospital, or the MS Society in her honour. A special thanks to Dr. Oh, Dr. Hood, staff at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus and the staff at Hospice Wellington in Guelph for their amazing compassionate care. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel. Services have taken place.
