ERIN – A Grimsby resident is dead after colliding with a trail gate while riding a motorcycle here late Sunday night.
Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash on the Elora Cataract Trail, near the 4th Line in Erin, on July 28 at about 11pm.
“It was reported that an off-road motorcycle had struck a gate, and the lone rider was seriously injured,” states a July 29 press release from the Wellington County OPP.
The 34-year-old operator from Grimsby was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
“The office of the Chief Coroner was notified and attended the scene,” the release stated.
“The cause of the collision is still under investigation and anyone with information related to it is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.”
