Council approved the work, expected to cost $39,892, at its special meeting on July 10.
It includes the pulverizing – to a depth of six inches – the 14th Line from Wellington Road 12 to Sideroad 21, and Concession 14 from Wellington Road 109 to Wellington Road 11; a total of 117,330 square metres.
The low quote was submitted by Roto-Mill Services Ltd., of Orangeville, at $0.34 per square metre ($39,892 total).
The other two quotes were $0.42/m2 ($49,278 total) from Seeley and Arnill Construction of Durham, and $0.75/m2 ($87,997 total) from Brennan Paving, of Port Colborne.
The money will come out of the road rehabilitation budget.
