MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Thrift Store celebrated its 15th anniversary on July 11 with cupcakes and friends. “We’ve raised over $2.6 million in the 15 years we’ve been open,” day manager Brenda Harris said. The volunteer-based store has been supporting both the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation and Cancer Patient Services since opening.
The five original thrift store board members from 2009 joined the celebrations. From left: Bob Mason, John Thompson, Bob McIntee and original day managers Sue Lawson and Donna Leach.
